The orders had just come in, and pilots descended upon Paris. The air was filled with shreiks as bombe dropped on the quiet city. The went off in halos of red and orange. Fires sprouted, and buildings were destroyed. The pilots left the tower standing, feeling that it would demoralize the world to have one of it's wonders destroyed. When the last bomb dropped on the already destroyed city, they flew off, leaving the city to burn.
